Commercial Gardening

Looking after your Commercial Garden

Customers are always causing issues with gardens, and do staff. Our biggest problem we come across is litter. We have a property we look after every week and always fill up one of our rubbish bags with rubbish, from cable ties to fast-food wrappers, Nuts and bolts you name it we often find it in garden beds.

We offer full comercial gardening services to all our commercial clients, from pruning, mulching, irrigation maintenance and planting services.

Controlling weeds in garden beds is a multi-step process. From manually removing them, Chemical Treatment and Mulching are all processes we often discuss with clients to maintain their gardens best.

We often chemically treat lawns and then manually remove weeds, but always recommend mulching where possible.

Mulching of a garden bed does more than assist with the control of weeds. They improve the look of the garden beds. Not only that in the picture that as is shown here also it can make things look neat and tidy.

We often see commercial gardens with weed matting installed and a 3-5cm mulch applied. This is not greatly effective after 6-8 months, Mulch needs to be 8-10cm thick and topped up every 12 months to maintain the thickness.

This photo is almost two years after we mulched the garden beds; it makes it easy to remove the rubbish and weeds are almost none existent in this garden bed.

Tree Pruning and Hedging

Another service is a small tree and bush pruning and hedge trimming.
Knowing how and when to pruning and hedge is essential, Often we find somebody has let the hedge grow to much or have cut it with a blunt blade. These cause significant issues; blunt blades tend to tear the branches and leaves leaving brown marks or damage to the plant.

Allowing it to overgrow requires more work to try and get it back to the shape you want as have to carefully prune it back to a point where new growth nodes are still present, some times these are there and the damage it too much.
