Starting out as a single operator using household equipment, we found that there is a need for some quality lawn mowing contractors in the Rockingham area. Evergreen Blades set out to get quality training and expert equipment to ensure they could meet the requirements and keep customers satisfied.
Our goal was to provide a reliable high quality service that customers can trust, and without hesitation recommend us to their friends. To do this we will always return to try and correct any problems or issues to the best of our ability without complaints.
In 2017 we expanded the Lawnmowing business by Completing a Residential turf maintenance course to ensure we are care correctly in regards to disease and pest recognition, developing proper fertilising and nutrient programs and how to recover lawns and correct cutting techniques.
We also joined the Lawn mowing Contractors Association of Western Australia (LMCA) to add some quality control to our work, but having to meet somme minimum standards in both equipment and quality of service.
Irrigation & Retic Repairs
In 2017 we expanded the Lawnmowing business to also included Irrigation Maintinance and repairs. Cover both commercial irrigation and residential retic repairs we enrolled and successfully become a Water Corporation Waterwise garden irrigation Program member and maintain this to this day. In 2019 Paul was actually accepted onto the Irrigation Australia Waterwise committee.
Paul is also a strong promoter of the Hunter Hydrawise Weather controlled reticulation system.
In 2018 Evergreen Blades became a licensed Pest Control spraying business, allowing us to legally apply herbicides and insecticides to turf and garden areas. This opened us up to some more opportunities to ensure when we take care of a lawn we can do so in a professional manner and know we are covered by insurance.
Being licensed means we have access to some great professional help and the backing from manufactures to ensure the correct chemicals and rate of applications are made to protect your lawn and garden plants from damage.
In 2020 we have planned to further expand the business to cover lawn restoration via vertimowing and aeration. Both require extensive equipment purchases as we hope to bring this to fruition at the start of the season.
By adding the vertimowing and aeration equipment means we no longer rely on hiring out equipment when available and also means ensuring the equipment we do use is always operational, hence the start of the year we invested heavily in the purchase of a new 28″ MEY cylinder mower and a custom built 20″ MEY Cylinder mower too ensure we keep to our standards.
